Livingstone College Football announces New Members of the Coaching Staff

Salisbury, NC – Livingstone Head Coach Lamonte Massie has
announced the hiring of four new members of the football coaching
staff. There will be two new members to both the offense and
defensive staffs.
Corey Robinson was hired as the wide receivers coach. Robinson is a
graduate of Western New Mexico University. He most recently coached
wide receivers at Palatka High School, Fort Hayes State University
and Nicholls State University.
Clifton Davis was hired as the running backs coach. Davis is a
graduate of Fayetteville State University, where he set numerous
playing records. He most recently coached running backs at Virginia
Union University.
Greg Philpot has been hired as defensive backs coach. Philpot is a
graduate of the University of South Carolina and set numerous
records as a defensive back at USC. He most recently coached
defensive backs at Salisbury High School.
Corey McCloud was hired as the defensive line coach. McCloud is a
graduate of University of New Orleans. He most recently coached the
defensive line at Savannah State University.
Omar Robinson, current member of the staff, will be named tight
ends coach.
“I am extremely excited to have these outstanding coaches",
said Massie. "Each one of them brings some very good experiences to
the staff. We lost some good coaches to some great opportunities
for themselves and their families. This change provided some
opportunities for these coaches. I anticipate them hitting the
ground running and having an impact immediately.”
Livingstone College Football starts Training Camp on August 5, 2008
and opens with Concordia College on August 30, 2008 in Greenville,
SC at the HBCU Classic at 7:00 pm.
